During Ramadan 2025, a Muslim woman (“S.A.”) was attacked in an Ajax library while engaged in quiet study. Her assailant threw objects at her, tried to rip off her hijab and set fire to it. Thankfully, people intervened to stop the attack and the assailant was arrested.
The Mujaadilah Centre is honoured to welcome “S.A.” who will share her reflections on this terrible incident and how she has coped in the aftermath.
